i am in the process of converting a 68 camper special automatic 2wd. to a 68 w 200 4x4.
i have a 66 w200 power wagon as a donor vehicle providing the clutch pedals (i actually cut out the whole dash and pedals, truck was a rust bucket) and the divorced transfer case and the axles.
i have a 81 360 engine with np435 and pto already bolted in to the 68. also i have the clutch and brake pedals and rod from the 81 parts truck, along with the z bar
my question is should i convert the 68 to hydraulic clutch from the 66? or hang the manual pedals in the 68 from the 81?(remember its a automatic) or go with some type of after market slave and master cylinder. or bag the manual trans altogether and go with a shorty auto 727 that i have.
i think at this point i may remove the manual even though its allready bolted in, and go with the auto in the intrest of time because this project has been gathering dust for way to long.
thanks in advance for the advice
