My article in the November, 1988 issue of Power Wagon Advertiser listed 1811 as the highest belt pulley serial number, suggesting at least that many were made. The 1988 article was based on 6 belt pulleys then known. A few more have since been found, so there may be around 20 known of today, though far, far more were produced (about one for every sixth Power Wagon produced during the 1940s, I concluded). Given the likely number produced, it seems more should have surfaced by now. But they remain extremely rare.
