This what happened to me. The engine was running a little higher than usual. I starting seeing coolant bouble out of the radiator cap. Pulled over and checked the coolant, it was low so I added some to top it off. Tried to start the engine, but no go. Water in the cylinders compressed and it wouldn't crank over. I took out a couple of plugs and tried starting again. Water shot up about 40 feet in the air out of the plug holes. I thought-- this is a new experience! We had just got the truck and took it for a ride in the mountains. A friend came by and towed us to his place to work on it. WHAT A RIDE!! I didn't know it till later that most of the wheel cylinders had one of the pistons frooze, so braking wasn't real good. I used the engine, emergency, wheel brakes to keep my truck from running into his on some of the down grades. There were a couple of times I was ready to jump! Anyway got to his place, pulled the head, no carbon anywhere. Put on a new head gasket and away I went. I never had a more thrilling ride at any carnival!!!!
