hi group,
I've decided to give my 1977 factory 440 Custom 200 PowerWagon to my son. It's gonna need alot of work and I'm hoping I can get some good advice on where to look for parts. Most of the bottom of the cab is in bad shape, the top of the front fenders is peppered with various sized holes from front to back and the lower right front side of the bed ( just behind the passenger door)has had some damage repaired before and the patch is almost gone so it's gonna need repair. The rear upper fender will need patches and I will also need front inner fender wells...so I was going to go ahead and get new fenders as well.
grille is in perfect condition and bumpers still polish to a bright chrome. The hood is in good shape as well with just surface rust.

I am not sure what to look for in the under side of the cab to determine if I should have new metal put in and rockers etc. What should I look for around cab mounts? if there is rot there should I just go for a new cab? or can new metal be put in? The top of the cab all the way down to the crease in the door is in good shape.. just surface rust. And nothing wrong with the door mount areas. The bottom rear of the driver side cab, below the gas cap,is rotted out where rain has run down through the non existant inner gas tank's fill tube and eaten through.

If I decided to change the cab, where might I find one and is there any link I can go to to get info on what to do, steps to take, what will be needed to replace. Any welding required? Also can any or all of you post links to places to purchase fenders and fender wells, any and all body parts, wiring harnesses, interior upholstery...places that I can buy everything I'll need to bring the old girl back to life!?

thx in advance :)
