I had wasps take up residence in the frame of my WC1. They located a closed box cross member behind the transfer case. It took me about 2 months to figure out where they were coming from. Once I did and since the bed was off I pluged up all but one of the holes, poured a quart of lighter fluid down the open hole and had a barbque. Once the fire was out I had to flush the cross member for a 1/2 hour to get all the pieces parts out.
