Hmmm, interesting project.

There are enough photos in the manuals of the engine compartments and with the body off that they should be of use to you.

I'd also suggest posting your project idea over on the WWII Dodge Discussion Board, link a the top of Joe's main discussion page. Someone there might have done this or have seen it done.
