Fuse gets hot

Hey folks,

I completely rewired my truck with a new harness recently, and I also converted to 12 volts negative ground. Everything (or most everything) seems to work now, but I noticed that when I turn on the headlight switch, the 30-amp fuse that's built into the switch gets hot. If I only have the parking lights on, it gets quite warm, but if I turn on the headlights, too, then it gets really hot, to the point that I can't touch it for more than a couple of seconds. Is this normal? I don't believe I have any unwanted grounds.

Thanks,

Matt
