The gin pole was never an "option " for the Power Wagon in the strict sense of the word. It was, however an accesory available through the Special Equipment catalog from outside vendors and sometimes installed at the factory by the Special Equipment Group, or supplied through the Special Equipment Group and then dealer installed. Some were probably installed by the companies that bought the trucks to use in their own business where they purchased the gin poles directly from the outside vendors.

Early sales literature shows Power Wagons equipped with gin poles right from the beginning. There were several manufacturers that made them. I do not know how long these companies made them to fit the Power Wagon.
