a 43 has a longer wheelbase than a m37. i think that the m43 has the two windshield piviot bolts that will accept a standard 37 windshield assembly. you will have a pretty good gap i think 18 inches between the bed and cab. you could mount a toolbox or make an extended bed out of 2 beds. both would be pretty cool. i would opt for the long bed as the standard bed is too short for lumber etc. you could make longer troop seats and canvas and have one unique truck. i often thought of buying a m43 frame and buliding it with a helitool engine, brake, power steering modern trans, then transfering my m37 body on to it. i would go with a longer bed. i dont have the time and the space to do it however. bob stahl is pretty well versed on this topic. i'd call him with questions. the longer drive shaft would enable you to put in the lycoming overdrive unit that is available for the power wagons. centering the rear axle would be on my to do list also. brian in oregon spoke about building a m series command car. that would be cool too. mannyc
