Hi Folks,

Looking for some information to ID a dodge truck I found in the local junkyard. Its a modek W20 with a VIN of W22BF5S113983. Can somene give me the year and other information (if there is any in the VIN concerning drivetrain)?? This leads into my next question.

What is the transition year when the NP435 used the long shaft in place of the short one?

The truck has a four speed transmission with PTO output on the drivers side. The tranny would work great with my V8 conversion. Unfortunately, all I can tell about the tranny is that its a 4 speed with PTO output. I can't see any more of it because the truck is sitting on the frame...in mud. So, is it correct to say that this is most likely an NP435?? Or could it be something else??

My plan is to tear off the tranny hump and try to get a better look on Friday. I figured I'd try to get as much info from the forum before I head out.

Thanks,
Jimbo.
