Matt, I purchased the 6 to 12 kit from VPW. They include a ballast resistor for the ignition which goes in the 14 gauge red wire from the "c" post on the ignition switch to the "-" post of the coil. They also include a resistor for the fuel gauge which goes in the 12 gauge blue wire between the "f" post of the ignition switch and the "ig" post of the fuel gauge. The 16 gauge blue wire from the fuel gauge to the tank should stay the same.
The two units supplied by VPW were "made in Mexico" and have non-standard or no numbers printed on them. Traditionally, when this question comes up, Vaughn always is quick to post with the NAPA numbers. If he reads this and posts, I'll write them down this time!!! Good Luck, Bruce
