It was unclear from your posts if you had looked at, and read my page on 59-60 Poly 318 numbers.

I was trying to make sure we were both on the same page, with much of the same information before we both got off on different tangents.

I have have been through the efforts it takes to check a Poly 318 engine number in a large number of trucks to get a good idea of what numbers should be on my site(sometimes it is best to look up from below, you get a better agnle with some trucks).

1960 Poly 318s start with P318(P being the letter for the 1960 model year), at least all the ones I have checked do.

The 1960s trucks are labeled differently, as the letter for each model year changed. 1964 Poly 318s tend to be labeled V318 for example.

As for the numbers following the P318, I have found no information as to what they stand for and have come to the general conclusion that for the 59-60 trucks they are just a sequential number, no date, no nothing.

Anybody else have better info?

Again, sorry if I came off rough, that was not my intention, I was just being brief.

Eric
