Todd - I could not find any numbers at all on or around the hex nut. Are you referring to the nut that holds the big rubber diapghram to the rod/spring?
There are a couple of patent numbers and the words "Midland Steel Products" "Hy-Power" on the vacumm can and valve system.
The diaphram is a little crusty on the edges, but seems fine inside. There was brake fluid on both sides of the diaphram. Would that indicate that it leaks?
I have not taken the control valve portion apart. I did remove the diaphram. I found a seal around the rod connected to the diaphram that is held in place with 4 bolts. Is this the seal that would leak to allow fluid into the diaphram chamber?
I'm in a jam. I apprecate any further help.
