Hi Jason,
The entire passenger side of the block, between the 2nd and 4th cylinders ( that side being numbered, 2,4,6 and 8 from front to rear) below the head to just above the pan skirt, should have casting stamps, a wire brush may be in order. As far as ID # stamping, that should be on a machined pad in front of cylinder # 1 (drivers side) just below the head. Those numbers are harder to see since they are hand stamped.
