There are diffrences in some of the early 3/4 ton WC front axles. The biggest diffrence is in the differentials. The first 3/4 tons had the smaller ring and pinion. It is the same ring and pinion that the 1/2 tons had. Dodge was in the process of evolving to the 9 5/8 ring and pinion that is found in the later 3/4 WC and all PWs. My Carryall has a smaller differential in front and a 9 5/8' in the rear. They finally went to the 9 5/8 in the front axle for strength.

THe later 3/4 ton WC and all flatfender PWs and M 37s all have the 9 5/8 ring and pinion and all are just as strong as the other.
