Charlie, email comin' at ya. For everyone else, here is the answer.

I've got an NV5600 out of a 1999 W3500 diesel for my '93 W250 diesel. The input shaft is 1.25" with 10 splines, just like the Getrag 360. Problem is the input shaft is about one and an eighth inches too long. I'd have to cut the pilot shaft off, turn a new pilot shaft from the splined section and extend the splines back to their original length. Don't like that very much because even a few thousandths off on the spline extension is going to make the loads unequal and who knows what has happened to the heat treatment.

In 2000 and one half, Dodge increased the diameter of the NV5600 input to 1.375" (still 10 splines). Well I figured as long as I had the time, why not upgrade? If I can replace the clutch and input shaft for a reasonable expense, this seems like the time to do it.
