Most angle you can run is 25 degrees with a 1410 spicer yoke. I dont remember the other max angles off top of head but what you probose sounds doable with smaller joints. Most u joint failure is because when people lift trucks they dont correct the angle and get vibration. as long as angle are same on bot side of shaft and equal 180 you should be good to go. Also belts are plenty strong look at the gates poly chain series. I know those are good for 600+hp at 8500 rpm at about 3 to 4" wide.
