Don, Sorry to hear of your trees & land. It sounds like a lot of hard work in hot weather to get things back toward normal. Hopefully the soil survived. We ended up being 2 miles from the edge of the Hayman Fire in CO. I've been volunteering with the USDA Natural Resouces Conservation Service helping private landowners in the burn area do erosion control. In the worst areas the soil is just fried.
