A truck is the sum of all its parts.

Your truck is a 4x4 hot rod. That's OK, since it can literally blast its way through muddy bogs.

However, raw horsepower is not the only way to go 4x4'ing.

The Dodge Power Wagon and the military Dodges from which it came and the military M37 used the right combination of parts from the very beginning. These trucks were designed to do all four wheeling tasks well, ranging from rock crawling to mudding. Using the M37 as an example, it ramps far higher than most if not all stock 4x4's made today. You have to put a lot of money into conversion kits to get the same amount of articulation.

I don't know how your truck does at rock crawling, but typically those set up to blast through mud wind up slipping the tires too much for rocking.

I'm a Ford fan as well as a Dodge fan, so in all sincerity I invite you to pull up a chair and broaden your education. You might find that it would be fun to own a 50 or so year old 4x4 that puts most modern 4x4's to shame.
