Not to disagree with the rarity of the vehicle, but rare does not mean valueable. I put my '58 service body on Ebay. I was dissapionted that it did not go higher than 10k. It is rare in that it is a special order bed installed between the time it went from the factory (Detroit) to the dealer. I have never seen another one like it. Look at the Gertsenlager trucks. Those are rare, but no one really wants them. Or the Bell telephone trucks with thier massive PTO boxes and aluminum beds. How about those wonderfull fire trucks!!!
Everybody wants the cookie cutter, PW with pickup bed and winch... BOORRIINNGG!
I in particular am fascinated with the special bodied and special equipment vehicles if you could'nt tell.
And if you are thinking of selling it, and most of the hard work is'nt done on it, forget it... Either people dont have the time, skills, or are just to lazy to put any effort in except turning the key, maby change the oil. The latter will typically buy a restored or refurbished rig, have a couple of things done to it by thier mechanic, and tell everyone that THEY restored it. Just my opinion ;-)
