Okay heres the latest. I broke another heavy duty puller trying to pull off my brake drums! those suckers just wont budge! Someone suggested putting the tire on and putting the nut back on the spindle leaving 1/4 inch between drum and nut and put the cotter key in. then go for a drive around the block. Is that safe? will it work? because i'm running out of options. auto zone( the little help they are) suggested using a slide hammer. would that even come close to working? Obviously the spindle is now sautee'ing in WD-40 and keeps dripping lots, and lots,...and lots of blood colored rust. so at least its doing something i guess! anyway, keep the suggestions coming, they're all pretty good ideas, a torch would sure come in handy about now! thats my next option, go get one! will propane heat it enough to remove the drum?
