For those looking, Bellhousing casting 2235714, year casting date 1-66 (on mine) fits the slantie, flattie, smallblocks "A" and LA and the early hemi.
The casting number given is in a recess at the 1 o'clock position on the engine face of the bellhousing. It is invisible with a V-8 in front of it but shows up with either of the 6's because of the smaller diameter mounting face. Anybody need one? I am in Victorville, Ca., and we can make us both happy at $100 (considering the work involved in pulling one at 100º+ temps.) I also have several of te front saddle mounts for the "A"/ "LA" engines adn the raised waterpump/timing chain covers to properly locate the fan in a flattie to V-8 engine swap.
