I just had a rather strange moment of emotion. All today I have been enjoying the sun and my 1971 Dodge Charger. I have been out cruising and visiting friends. Enjoying my freedom..............or so I thought......
I just came from the store. Buying some burgers and brats. In line behind me is an old guy in a electric wheel chair waiting to pay for his things. He had a hat on that said Disabled Veteran of War. Got to the parking lot and it hit me........I should be thanking this guy for my freedom. He is in a wheel chair now so I can cruise in my old Mopar. Then the events of the past year went through my mind and on the way around the block out of the parking lot theres a guy on Main Street (We are an older town with Main Street) with a trumpet playing the Star Spangled Banner...........I had a tear in my eye as I drove my old classic Mopar home!
