For 61-68 D/W300 and up, the I6, /6, 318 and 360 and hemi's will all mount to the "universal" hydraulic bellhousing casting #2235714-2 (I don't think the -2 matters) this uses a 172 tooth ring gear, and the starter mounts with 3 bolts to the bellhousing. See pics at Uglytruckling.com. Unfortunately you can't see the number until it's off the engine. The 360 doesn't use the bottom bolt on the left side, unless you want to drill and tap a new hole in the bell (easy). This will carry the 12" (actually 11.88") clutch (NAPA RCF586 with 10x1 3/8" spline) and pres. plate (NAPA #CA1733) which are bolt in replacement for the 11" clutch assembly.

There is a small block hydraulic bell from the same era that will take a 13" clutch, but I don't know the casting number on it, or if it needs a different flywheel. It should use the same ring gear, as the teeth on all the above almost touch the bell to engine bolts.

For the 361, 383, 413, 440 etc. the hydraulic bell is casting C93961W. This you can see from the back top just in front of the trans cover. This takes a 14 7/8" diameter 186 tooth flywheel (for 6 bolt crank it's CC#2407534-6) and has a 2 bolt starter to the bell housing. 13" clutch plate (NAPA #383734 with 10x1 3/8" spline) and pres. plate (NAPA #1866, B&B #1337)

All these bellhousings will take NP435 or NP54X transmissions.

Good Luck!
