What engine is in it now? It would be much better to replace with the same type motor. Easier, more economical and faster than sorting through mounts/output shafts/ adapters/etc. Either engine is dependable, if you want power and highway speed go with the V-8, mileage and backcountry travel, the 6 would do fine.
