Hey Gil,
If you had the benefit of the modern day attorneys warning, you would have read the warning sticker that advised you to drive in reverse after crossing the equator, but if you had driven backwards there is still the overheating problems associated with the water pump circulation now being reversed. Just flush a toilet in the Southern hemisphere or pour water down a drain and you'll see that it rotates counterclockwise, that's why Dodge began installing reverse rotation water pumps on Fargo's and other export trucks. On the Pan American Highway you'd need two spare axles AND the reverse waterpump. Luckily Power Wagons did not have those digital compasses back then, you'd have to reverse polarity to truly read the "N" and "S".
