What is the Smith system?
As an Emergency physician, I have seen many serious motorcycle injuries. It is true that a helmet protects you, but when you are out in the open you are at far greater risk.
ALWAYS ride with a helmet; and if possible don't ride on any roads...at least dirt gives a little.
Be careful, the life you lose may mean more to others than it does to yourself.
