Paul, I've been wondering how to build a set without much trouble and get around bolting the intake and exhaust back up together. My thought was to use one piece of 1/2" flat bar and drill the stud holes in it and hole saw the ports. This would allow you to build an intake and exhaust together. I know you can purchase the fittings to weld up a set of headers and can make a carb intake flange to fit any type carb. I am going to try this soon.
