My '42 WC-54 should have had vacuum wipers, but it came with electric. Whoever replaced them, broke the metal tubing off and left it in the cowl, and plugged, what I assume is the vacuum hole on the intake manifold, with a threaded stud. It's on the top of the manifold, towards the firewall.
So what do I need to hook a vacuum guage up to this hole so I can test vacuum and set the carb and so on? The guage I have has a tapered conical head, no threads or anything. Once I'm done testing, I'll need to plug the hole again...
suggestions?
