Patrick, Just a couple of suggestions for you. One is consider changing the ring and pinion gears from the stock 5.87 to 4.89. Since you are going to have the rear end apart now is a good time to consider this. 4.89 R+P sets are available from Bob Stahl and from MARS. Bob's phone number is on an earlier post and there is a link to MARS in the "Related Links" on the home page here. Just remember that if you consider this, you will need two sets, one for the front and another for the rear. Another thing to consider while you have it apart is do you want a locking differential? If so now is the time to do that to. Currently there is only one company making locking diff's for M37's and that is PowerTrax. Their Lockrite model #1210 is the one for M37's. For axles, if you want NOS, again contact Bob Stahl, VPW, or Adirondack Truck Parts. There is also a guy in Germany who is making replacement axles for M37's. His web site is: killeraxles.com. Charlie Aarons in Alaska also has a set of aftermarket axles that he was trying to sell a week or two back over on the M37 page (bigelectric.com). Haven't heard whether he still has them or not. Lastly, (for now anyway) what kind of shape are the brakes in? As you get more into the truck you will find other stuff too, so just ask. There is a wealth of knowledge here. Enjoy your new truck. Robert
