It was a good show. More M35's than anything else. I thought I was nuts owning an M truck, but you should see these MVPA guys with pedestal mounted .30 cal guns, half tracks, 5 ton cranes, dukw's etc. I think 4-5 m37's, an m43, and only two wc's, one a command car and the other a real nice 1.5 ton wc63. Rain held off although my vacuum wiper worked great for the light rain down and back. Then my '97 gmc wipers crapped out Sat night, go figure. 70 miles round trip listening to the t case howl the whole way. Brought along hearing protection which was a good idea. What is normal sustained speed for a stock truck? One guy told me he does 50 mph which I think would make my truck vibrate itself to smithereens. Someone was asking about pioneer tools and authenticity. Of the 20+ shovels I saw, only a few were original, all the others were pulled from the shed and painted od, metal handles and all. Good day and visited friends on the return trip.
