I've been a little out of touch so my news is stale. It went from 350 acres to over 1420 acres in just a few hours on Friday. There were 60 firefighters on scene then, belonging to 3 crews: Wyoming Smoke-busters prison crew, the Helena Hotshots, and the S.E. Wyoming Interagency Type II crew. The fire has made its way into heavy, dried out fallen timber that was killed off by bugs several years ago. There is quite a bit of standing-dead timber there as well. I'll listen for more news when I get up later this AM.
