Power Wagon Ambulance

Ok I am 22 years old and for as long as I can remember i have had my eyes on a Power Wagon Ambulance. I have more recently looked it over and it is in very good condition. I am told that the engine had some stuck valves when it was parked. Last night I check it over again and found the old registraion from 1978 so it hasn't moved in a while.
It has a Which on the front and I think It is a PTO Braden? Spare tire carrier on left side, and all the writing on the dash is in Dutch. It also has all the original stretchers and stuff inside. It has been sitting for many years and I am betting I can get it for free. I would like to know if there are any engines (newer) that transplant in failry easily.
Also I would assume the easiest way to free up an old engine like that would be to fill it with kerosene and let it sit for a while? good idea/bad idea? The only thing the body needs is a good sanding and new paint, the split swingout windshield looks a little week also, and I would (if I get it) want to switch over to a 12 volt electrical system.
Any thoughts or Ideas are welcome and encouraged.
Thanks
Seth
