Most of the civilian distributors that I've seen for the 230 have centered drive tabs, but I've seen a couple with offset tabs, and with what appeared to be the original shafts and other components, so I'm wondering what they came off of. I have one at home with an offset drive tab that someone has filed down in an attempt to make it work with a centered drive gear slot.
I'd really like to know if anyone's civilian PW is equipped with an offset tab and if that is the original distributor (or at least to the best of their knowledge).
I've had several responses off line so far, and I'm gradually compiling some information that should be useful to the forum members.
I still need more information about any distributors with vacuum advances and how they are set up on a PW.
