In the latest issue of Petersen's 4Wheel & Off-Road: A WC54 was rescued from certain death in a junkyard in Grand Jct., Colo. (good). The old drivetrain was removed (bad/good) and replaced with a 360 V8 (bad) with a Chrysler 727 auto (bad), a NP203-derived 1.96:1 double low range reducer (great!) and NP205 transfer case (great!), also a GM 10-bolt front axle (bad) and Dana 60 rear axle (?). so much for my tastes. But hopefully they'll fix up the body and it'll be on the road, and in the magazine. that's certainly good.
