Couple of days ago, I was driving my '63 M-37B1 along at ~40mph, when the engine started cutting in and out on me. When I pushed in the clutch, and let off the gas, it quit cutting in and out, and ran just fine. Let the clutch back out at ~25mph; no problems, until I accelerated to just above 30, when it started cutting in and out again. Managed to limp the vehicle back to campus, where I cleaned out the fuel filter between pump and carb, and the plugs. Went to drive it last night, started out good; up to 35 with no problems. 3 blocks later, it started cutting in and out again, so I turned around. Limped to within a quarter mile of campus, then going up a slight rise in 1st, the engine coughs and dies. Got the engine to restart several times by pulling out the choke, and then slowly pushing it back in while cranking the engine over, but it died again within 30 seconds. Ended up having to tow it back, and use the starter to get it into a parking spot. I know I have fuel in the tank, and the fuel cap vent is in the open position, any ideas what is wrong? Fuel pump? Something else? Since this vehicle is my only transportation, I would like to get it up and running again as soon as possible. Thanks for any information or ideas.
