Jose,

Fargo and DeSoto were both subsidiary of Chrysler Corp. I had a '75 Trailduster that still made mention of DeSoto on its data plate.

The DeSoto car was common until the late 50's. "The Longer, Lower, affordably priced car" Models such as the firedome, a huge sedan with the biggest tailfins on the road. They were to autos what powerwagons were to 4x4 trucks. There were DeSoto U.S. trucks I believe.

Usually Fargo trucks (which as you noticed are identical to Dodge trucks)were Canadian models. Perhaps they were shipped to Mexico also.
