POW has it right! Pulley from old gen fits perfect, The change over harness is available from front line military parts for about $27.00.
Take the voltage reg to the next show and sell it,
$75 if its an electronic one in good shape. the govt. in its infinate wisdom used these harnesses
to update the M35 duce and a half from the 28 volt generator to the 28 volt 60amp alternator. If the military mechanics can do it anyone can (KISS-keep
it simple stupid). The alternator is a LOW rpm unit, made to charge the batteries while at low speeds, as most vehicles either idle or go slow.
I also installed a DELCOTRON 12V alternator to power my 12V accesories AND my snow plow, the 3rd
battery is located under the driver's seat, I used
a four belt pulley set up that was used on the 100amp M37 and a four belt pulley from an M151 with a 100 amp sys. for a search light set up.
If you have any othe questions email me.
Good luck
Rick
