I had a stuck disk in a similar rig. Intesd of removing
the cover plate bolts, I had my talented & pretty
wife, (not the grumpy, ugly one) step on the pedal.
This allowed enough room to pry things loose with a
gasket scraper. Also, she was able to bump the starter
for me as I needed. By the way, it was a very low
mile 68 IH Scout. I bought it for $100 because the guy
thought it needed a tranny.
