My 1950 B1PW126 has a repalcement engine (#T 96 4756). Roberts Motor Parts suggested it is a 218ci. out of a 1940 one ton or one and a half ton, possibly military truck.
Can anyone confirm this for me? Also, what can you tell me about this engine. I have read that truck engines were upgraded with hardened valve seats, etc. for severe use.
What special features would this truck engine have had? Any information is appreciated. Thanks!
