I am restoring a '52' M37. When I bought it I thought that the engine was an older vintage because it had headstuds instead of headbolts. I finally got to the casting number and sure enough they are different than what is listed in the Mil;itary Clutch and Engine manual. Does anyone have a source that would tell what year block I,ve got? It turns freely and was supposed to have been running when the vehicle was parked 4 years ago. Along with this question can someone suggest a good source for a M37 230 ci engine?
