Dana axles are stamped with a manufactuting date and a Spicer part number , on a rear axle it is located on the right axle tube just outboard of where it is pressed into the differential. On a front axle this number may be on either the right or left tube , this stamping will be the date followed by a part number of seven digits begining with the number six(6)and ending with a dash number. If you can locate this number I have a catalog may be able to tell application of axle.
