Forest Management is a sore subject no matter which side you take.
Fire is a natural occurance that renews the forest floor, however for the last 20 some years we have been surpressing forest fires becuase of the commercial value of the lumber in the National Forests. This causes build up of fuels on the forest floor which causes these massive forest fires we are seeing. Yosemetie in the 80's, Los Alamos, the fires we are seeing now. They are all the same pattern.
