I do not see any reason why the Power Wagon fenders wouldn't be strong enough for you to do this. I am sure that guys a lot heavier than you have done this over the years while working on more trucks than we can imagine. For a more comfortable position, you may want to try removing the fender and take a seat on the front tire. When I adjust valves, I remove the fender, splash shield, and tire/wheel assembly and rest my chest right on the brake drum. I don't know if that position has a name yet, but it works for me.
