I'll bet you are! There are (I am told) two flywheels for these engines. The early one from the forged crank motors (350, 361, 383, 413, 426 and early 440)and the later one from the cast crank motors (383, 400 and 440). They don't interchange. The early ones are internally balanced, the later ones externally. I believe the cutoff is '72 but I could be wrong. My information source is Bob Mazzolino Racing in Highgrove, Ca. (909) area code. I would susepct that he could help you with your questions and potentially, parts. What year is your 440? I have two bellhousings and an early forged crank flywheel, clutch and pressure plate if you have the early motor. I was going to do a 440 into a '66 W200 swap but couldn't find a good early 440 or 413 to go with my flywheel. I ended up selling the '73 440 I had but still have the other parts.
