Anyone ever redone an old steering wheel? Know of a good web site for this? I know there are filler kits etc., but what's this thing made of ('48), bakelite?? Doesn't it have to be sealed before repainting?? I can grind out the cracks and fill and sand, but prior to priming and paint it just feels like there should be another step in there somewhere or it won't last.
