There are some companies out there that do custom fuel injection. Electromotive sells the parts to install electronic fuel injection and distributorless ignition systems, with full control over timing and mixture. Rance Fuel Injection is another place (www.rancefi.com) that builds custom systems. It would be interesting to see what a flathead with modern ignition and fuel injection would be capable of. Food for thought, but these systems are probably about $3000+ and at least some parts must be fabbed. Puts them out of range for most people.
