I have been searching for an original shift boot and steering column seal for my '59 W-100 for about six months without success. The other day I was at Home Depot and noticed they had these plastic bathroom roof vent seals to cure a leaking roof. It looks like a piece of flat black plastic with a rubber o-ring in the center that is raised at an angle. I picked up a few of different sizes at $5 a piece and hot damn, they look like they were made to fit. With a little judicious trimming the "new shift boot" fit right on. The steering column seal required a slot to fit it around the column. Just thought I would share this, yeah, I am patting myself on the back just a little bit. Thanks for listening, Joe in NH
