Geezzz.....A "Doxie" is an affectionate name for a Daschund, aka ""wiener dog". A "moxie is a 'M'ale d'OXIE'. In some circles these delicate little dogs ARE delicacies and are kept frozen until devoured, usually boiled and eaten between buns with mustard, like hot dog wieners, hench the name "weinerdog". When he said he was having a "cold moxie" he had probably just pulled his wiener (dog) out (of the freezer) and was munching on it (you hold them by the tail like a cornDOG and eat the ears first like chocolate bunnies, as their color clearly calls for). They can also be thinly sliced in which case they are called Baloney (like this story). I dunno about you left coasters...no experience in the finer things in life (hehheh)
