Thanks to all that have responded. What I am really asking on the question of putting a civilian PW cab and front on a 6X6 military chassis is, how much work is it?? I intend to use the entire front (radiator, cowl, hood, fenders, and cab) of a 51 Pw on the military frame but before I get too far into the project was hoping for some idea of the magnitude of the possible problems.
I believe the front half of a Dodge 6X6 frame is just like the 3/4 ton military 4X4s. They did add more metal to the frame from under the cab back to the rear to support the additional payload.
